As part of our continued work revitalizing one of Maryland’s earliest suburban shopping centers, we were tasked with restoring the historic vestibule and stairwell entrance—the first impression for anyone entering this iconic Stoneleigh building.

We began by removing worn VCT floor tiles that had covered the space for decades, uncovering and refinishing the original stairs and wood handrails to reveal their classic charm. From there, we gave the vestibule a complete facelift: installing elegant new tile, performing extensive plaster repairs, and applying fresh paint that honors the building’s original character while offering a refined and welcoming update.

The result is a stunning blend of historic preservation and contemporary polish—restoring the vestibule's original elegance while making it inviting and functional for today's visitors and tenants.
